The BMW X6 M Design Edition has just been announced and here it is.
Apart from the go-faster BMW stripes, the Design Edition features huge 21-inch BMW M alloy wheels. That's not all. A carbon fiber front splitter and a rear spoiler along with black colored kidney grills, exterior mirror caps and a diffuser complete the package.
Inside, BMW has used a full Merino leather trim for the dashboard and the seats. The color scheme is a two-tone layout with a combination of red and black. You also get a plaque which tells you the number of your exclusive car (1/100 or something like that).
The X6 M Design Edition will be available only in three exterior color options: Alpine White, Sapphire Black and Melbourne Red. Sales of the Design Edition commence in August 2013 with a limited production run of only 100 units. BMW has not released the prices for the car.
The BMW X6 which saw a facelift last year is entering the last stages of its life cycle. An all new X6 is expected to come out late next year or early in 2015. The X6 is an important model for BMW given that it started the entire pseudo coupé-SUV style which we now see in the Range Rover Evoque, the upcoming BMW X4 and those from rival brands such as the yet to be shown Mercedes GLC and the Audi Q6.
