The discounts, however, should help VW India find more buyers during this year's festive season.

Toyota Corolla Altis

With a monthly sales average of just 220 units*, the Corolla Altis isn't really setting the sales charts on fire. No wonder, then, that the company is offering huge discounts on its D1-segment sedan. The Altis is available with a cash discount of Rs 35,000, an exchange bonus of Rs 20,000, and a corporate discount of Rs 45,000.

Hyundai Xcent

The current generation Maruti Wagon R will be replaced with an all-new model early next year. To extract the most out of the current model and also to benefit from higher sales during this year's festive season, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd has lined up some attractive offers for the buyers of its favourite tallboy.  The top-spec AMT variant is available with discounts worth Rs 60,000. There's an exchange bonus of Rs 35,000 and a corporate discount of Rs 5,100. The Wagon R has been averaging 12,291 units* on a monthly basis. The substantial price cuts should help it fare even better during the festive season.

Renault Duster

There's a cash discount of Rs 60,000 on the 110 PS variant. Moreover, the buyer benefits from free 1st-year insurance worth Rs 40,831.

Nissan Terrano

The Nissan Terrano is a Renault Duster-based offering that has pretty much failed to attract SUV buyers. To push its sales this festive season, Nissan India is offering discounts worth more than Rs 1 lakh. There's a direct cash discount of Rs 45,000. Government employees get an additional discount of Rs 10,000. The buyers also benefit from free first-year insurance, which amounts to Rs 62,113 on the top-end trim.

Honda BR-V

On an average, Honda Cars India manages to sell only 615 units of the BR-V every month. To boost the 7-seater small SUV's sales, the company is offering discounts worth Rs 1 lakh. The benefits are being provided through free 1st-year insurance, free accessories, and exchange bonus worth Rs 50,000.

Hyundai Tucson

There's an exchange bonus of Rs 30,000, a corporate discount of Rs 50,000 and free 1st-year insurance worth Rs 92,720.

Honda CR-V

The next generation model, which will be sold with a Mahindra badge, is expected to fare much better.
