The Yamaha X-Max 250 and its sibling Yamaha XCity is sold only in Europe.
The Yamaha X-Max250 has been spied in Indonesia by IwanBanaran. The quarter-litre maxi scooter coud be offered in Indonesia as a premium product.
The Yamaha X-Max 250 is powered by a single-cylinder liquid cooled 249 cc, SOHC mill coupled to a V-belt automatic transmission. The fuel injected engine is capable of producing 20.39 PS of maximum power at 7,500 rpm and 21 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm.

The maxi scooter gets a 267 mm single disc up front and a 240 mm disc in the rear. An ABS variant is also on offer with a 245 mm rear disc. The front gets a 15-inch tyre of 120/70 specification and 140/70 section with 14-inch tyre in the rear. The Yamaha X-Max tips the scales at 178 kg for the non-ABS version and 182 kg for the ABS trim. It can store 13.2 litre of petrol and has a ground clearance of 125 mm.

Features in the Yamaha X-Max include a digital instrumentation, under seat storage which can hold two full face helmets, LED taillamps and aluminium alloy wheels. A launch time frame for Indonesia has not been officially confirmed yet, but an announcement can be expected in the coming months.
The Yamaha X-Max is retailed in Europe for EUR 4,950 for the non-ABS trim and EUR 5,300 for the ABS version.
