It was only in April that Yamaha Motor India had introduced the Yamaha Saluto in India, and already the company has launched updates for the commuter segment bike in India.
The Saluto's new disc brake variant, launched yesterday, has four new colours and graphics: Glory Green, Bold Blue, Dashing White and Majestic Red.
The Saluto is powered by a 125 cc, four-stroke, single-cylinder, carburetor-fed engine delivering 8.2 bhp at 7,000 rpm and 10.1 Nm of torque at 4,500 rpm. The engine is matched to a 4-speed manual transmission, and, thanks to an overall weight of 112 kg, it enables the Saluto to return a fuel consumption 78 km/L.
The Yamaha Saluto is based on a diamond frame, and measures 2,035 mm in length, 700 mm in width, 1,080 mm in height and 1,265 mm in wheelbase with a ground clearance of 180 mm. It is equipped with a 7.6-liter fuel tank. Its suspension system consist of the standard telescopic fork at the front and a swingarm for the rear.
The new Yamaha Saluto with a front disc brake is priced at INR 54,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The non-disc brake variant, as per the Yamaha website, is priced at INR 52,000 (ex-showroom Delhi).
