Yamaha Malaysia has introduced the Yamaha NVX. The maxi scooter was first showcased in the country at the 2016 Malaysian GP event in Sepang. It is positioned as a mid-sized, stylish automatic scooter. The Yamaha NVX 155 gets several state of the art features previously seen only on larger capacity motorcycles.
Powering the Yamaha NVX 155 is a 155 single cylinder mill. The water cooled, SOHC engine is capable of producing 15.09 PS of maximum power at 8,000 rpm and 14.4 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm. The powerplant boasts of Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) technology. This helps the engine produce ideal amounts of power across all engine speeds.
The scooter has a dry weight of 118 kg and a ground clearance of 142 mm. The fuel tank can store 4.6 litres of petrol. The Yamaha NVX gets a disc brake in the front. Rear gets a drum setup. It measures 1,990 mm in length, 700 mm in width and 1,125 mm in height. The wheelbase spans 1,350 mm.
Features include LED headlamps, front mini storage space, smartphone charging socket, 140 section rear tyre and a 5.8-inch instrumentation. Other features include ABS, smart key system and LED tail lamp, start stop system. The underseat storage space has a 25-litre volume.
The Yamaha NVX 155 comes in Black, Blue and Red shades. Prices start at MYR 10,500 (including GST).
