Equipped with ABS.
Three units of the Yamaha MT-125 with ABS have been imported to India from the United Kingdom earlier this month. It is unclear if the motorcycle was imported by India Yamaha Motor or by a competitor for a reason like benchmarking.
The Yamaha MT-125 is powered by a 124.7 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine with EFI, SOHC and four-valves, that produces 15.0 PS at 9,000 rpm and 12.4 Nm at 8,000 rpm, and is mated to a six-speed gearbox.
The motorcycle is based on a Steel Deltabox frame, and it features a 41 mm upside-down telescopic fork with 130 mm of travel, a monoshock-equipped link-type rear suspension with 114 mm of travel, a 292 mm dic brake upfront, a 230 mm disc brake at the rear, dual-channel ABS, 100/80-17 M/C front tyre and 130/70-17 M/C rear tyre.
The 140 kg bike has a 11.5-litre fuel tank, and measures 1,955 mm in length, 740 mm in width, 1,040 mm in height, 1,355 mm in wheelbase, 140 mm in ground clearance and 810 mm in saddle height.
Yamaha has not indicated any plans of launching the motorcycle in India, yet.
