Yamaha Vietnam is yet to confirm production plans for the Yamaha Glorious.
Yamaha Vietnam has showcased the Yamaha Glorious Concept at the 2017 Vietnam Motorcycle Show. The scooter paves the way for a ‘glorious future in Vietnam’.
Inspired by high-end musical instruments the Yamaha Glorious’ LED headlamp and taillamp pay tribute to the rich legacy of Yamaha’s music division. The digital instrumentation console has the fuel gauge, speedometer, clock and temperature readout. The screen also has a Bluetooth logo which might mean that the scooter can be connected to a smartphone and can read out messages.
The handlebar in the Yamaha Glorious just gets a starter button and a horn switch. The scooter gets petal disc brake in the front. The rear has been given a unique new look making it stand out from the crowd.
The powertrain is expected to be the 155 cc mill from the Yamaha NVX 155. The VVA mill is capable of producing 15 PS of maximum power at 8,000 rpm and 13.8 Nm of peak torque at 6,250 rpm. The exhaust canister in the Yamaha Glorious draws inspiration from the Yamaha NVX 155.
The Yamaha Glorious has been designed with inputs from Yamaha Japan, but its production plans have not been released.
