They say there are less Formula1 drivers in the world than there are astronauts.

The F1 drivers are considered as driving Gods and rightfully so. The ability to think and react at a lightening pace while being abused by intense G forces make them supernatural drivers, not only on smoothly paved asphalt but also on places where there is no road at all.
This uncanny ability makes them best of the testers too and here is Redbull Racing's Mark Webber sampling the Renault Duster in Omanian desert. Mark came out of the car, surprised by its agility in the desert.
The Renault Duster as you all know is a monocoque compact crossover SUV based on the Dacia Logan. While the monocoque gives the Duster a car like driving dynamics on road, to expect it to do the job of an hardcore off roader is a bit too much to ask for, but the car seems to have done a commendable off road job especially in a F1 driver's hand.
In case you're wondering how could a two wheel drive crossover handle a desert with such an aplomb, there is a 4x4 version of Renault Duster available in European market.
