TVS Motor Company has teased the upcoming Ntorq 125 scooter through its social media channels. The company hasn’t revealed many details about the upcoming variant, although the teaser video shows an LED headlight in an updated design on the 125 cc scooter. The updated headlight also packs LED strips that mimic the “T” shape of the taillight.

The teaser video also shows new graphics on the apron. It is still not clear whether the upcoming Ntorq 125 is a special edition model for the festive season or the BS-VI compliant version. Do note that TVS Motor Company has introduced special variants of its existing range such as the new Jupiter Grande with Bluetooth-enabled instrument console, StaR City+ Special Edition and the TVS Radeon 'Commuter of the Year' celebratory special edition ahead of the high demand festive period.
The BS-IV compliant 124.79 cc air-cooled 3-valve, OHC engine with carburettor pumps out 9.4 PS of max power at 7,500 rpm and a peak torque of 10.5 Nm at 5,500 rpm. The BS-VI version will arrive with fuel injection system among other upgrades to comply with the more stringent emission norms. The performance numbers on the BS-VI model will not be very different.
Hardware specifications will retain the Bluetooth-enabled instrument console that will work with the 'TVS NTORQ' SmartXonnect App to offer functions like Navigation Assist, Last Parked Location Assist, Incoming Call Alert, Missed Call Alert, Auto Reply SMS, Phone Signal Strength, Phone Battery Strength and Ride Stats. Other key functions offered by the console comprise 0-60 km/h acceleration timer, in-built lap timer, Power/Eco mode indicator and three trip meters.
The suspension and braking setup will most likely have the same setup as on the current model. Thus, shock absorption tasks will be handled by telescopic forks at the front and an adjustable spring at the back. The braking department will comprise drum brakes on both wheels on the base variant, while the premium variant will have a front disc.
