Styling and features

The design of the 2019 Jupiter Grande is identical to the old model. Thus, buyers would find a full-LED headlight, a semi-digital instrument console, chrome accents on the front fender, diamond-cut alloy wheels and a dual-tone rearview mirror housing with chrome highlights. The saddle, too, continues to feature cross-stitch design with a shade of brown cover, while the footboard region is in the same old, beige colour. However, the 2019 iteration of the Jupiter Grande comes in new, lighter body paint – Tech Blue. The body-coloured pillion grab rail has been replaced by a silver unit on the latest version.

Bigger changes come to the cockpit, and the 2019 TVS Jupiter Grande benefits from a Bluetooth-enabled instrument console. The SmartXConnect Bluetooth system works with a smartphone app (available for both – Android and iOS devices) and offers features like call and text notifications, helmet reminder, over speeding alert and auto-reply SMS. The app also records the ride data and offers service reminders. However, unlike on the Ntorq 125, it misses turn-by-turn navigation function on the Jupiter Grande. The console also records the top- and the average speed of the scooter.

Engine, Braking and Suspension Setup

The engine is the familiar BS-IV compliant 109.7 cc air-cooled OHC engine that makes 8 PS of maximum power at 7,500 rpm and 8.4 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm.

While the old TVS Jupiter Grande was available in drum brake and disc brake variants, the new TVS Jupiter Grande has been launched in exclusively the latter. The stopping power comes from a 220 mm disc brake at the front and a 130 mm disc brake at the rear. The safety net comprises the Sync Brake System (combined braking system) as standard fitment. Telescopic forks at the front and an adjustable spring at the back handle the shock absorption department.
