TVS Motor Company has joined hands with Cadisa, one of the largest business groups across Guatemala and El Salvador, to expand its reach.
Cadisa will facilitate the opening of 15 outlets for TVS Motor Company in a phase-wise manner. The Hosur-based brand will also be present in 17 multi-brand outlets and over 150 retail stores across Guatemala. To ensure service and spare support, TVS Motor Company will operate over 25 service outlets. The company will also introduce several two-wheeler and three-wheeler models in the region. Retail finance schemes will make buying easier.
TVS Motor Company will offer the Apache RTR 200 4V, Apache RTR 180, Apache RTR 160 2V, Stryker 125 and the Wego from its two-wheeler portfolio and the King Deluxe from its three-wheeler range in the region. Apart from introducing the models mentioned above, TVS Motor Company will also partner with Cadisa to showcase three new products at the upcoming EXPO MOTO 2019 that will be held in Guatemala City, from 1-3 November 2019.
Speaking about their association with Cadisa, R Dilip, Executive Vice President - International Business, TVS Motor Company, said:
The unique network of distribution that Cadisa has developed makes them the best strategic ally for TVS Motor Company. With this partnership, we will be able to offer customised products with complete service and spare parts for our customers throughout Central America and consolidate our presence in the region.
Back home, TVS Motor Company has decided to skip Auto Expo 2020. The company, however, is expected to unveil a new product, the production-spec version of the Zeppelin concept, in early 2020. The Zeppelin concept featured a 220 cc single-cylinder internal combustion engine along with TVS patented Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) featuring an e-boost option. The concept was also equipped with a 1200W regenerative assist motor with 48V Li-ION battery. We do not expect the production-spec model to feature the hybrid powertrain, at least in the foreseeable future.
TVS Motor Company has also forayed into a new vertical with the launch of its own range of riding gear and apparel. The TVS branded riding gear includes helmets, jackets, gloves, pants and boots. The casual wear range, on the other hand, comprises sunglasses, caps, t-shirts, denim jackets, jeans, shoes and bag packs.
