The TVS Jupiter was launched yesterday in Chennai at an ex-showroom Delhi price of 44,200 rupees. The metal-bodied scooter complements the TVS Wego by addressing male two-wheeler riders.
The scooter is powered by a 110cc engine (borrowed from the Wego) with 'Eco Mode' and 'Power Mode' riding modes. The motor puts out 8 bhp @ 7,500 RPM and 8 Nm @ 5,500 RPM.

The commuter's fuel tank measure 5 liters and has an external filler cap, located behind the pillion rider. TVS is offering an under-seat storage provision of 17 litres for helmet, bags or other small items. This cavity also comes with a power socket that allows mobile phones to be charged when the vehicle's running.
Category first features include a pass-by switch (headlight flasher), low fuel warning, stainless steel muffler guard and gas charged rear shock absorber. The vehicle also has the brightest headlight in its class, and its turning radius of 1,910mm, is the shortest among peers.
Cosmetically, the standout features are the all-black alloy wheels and LED stoplight cluster.
The Jupiter will be available in Titanium Grey, Mercury White, Midnight Black and Volcano Red body colors.
