The TVS Dazz is the company's first automatic bebek (stepthrough motorcycle) for Indonesia.
The bebeks are the most widely preferred style of motorcycles in the archipelago and TVS has quite a few of them in its Indonesian lineup. The Dazz which is slated to go on sale there later this month will be positioned as an entry level automatic two wheeler. It is also set to become one of the most affordable two wheelers in the country.
The Dazz is engineered by TVS exclusively for the Indonesian market. The automatic bebek will be manufactured at the company's facility in West Java.
The Dazz is powered by a 110cc four stroke air cooled engine which breathes via a carburetor. The motor delivers 8.34 bhp and 8.3 Nm of torque. The two wheeler has a fuel tank capacity of 5.3 litre and tips the scale at 92kg.
Despite being the least expensive model in TVS Indonesia's portfolio, the Dazz comes with front disc brakes, a mobile phone charger, maintenance free battery, electric starter and tubeless tires. The front suspension adopts the telescopic forks while the rear gets single sided coil spring.
The TVS Dazz is priced at 9.9 million Indoneisan Rupiah (around Rs. 59,330) and the deliveries will commence later this month. We Indians always prefer conventional scooters over stepthrough style motorcycles and hence it is highly unlikely that the Dazz would make it here.
