The motorcycle was simultaneously launched in Indonesia.
Speaking to journalists at the premiere and launch event of the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V in Chennai yesterday, officials from the company stated that they expect the sportsbike to contribute sales of 7,000 units a month. It is to be noted that TVS is yet to launch the motorcycle pan-India.
The Apache RTR 200 4V will be available with a carburetor or electronic fuel injection system. The carbureted model produces 20.5 PS of power whereas the fuel-injected variant develops 21 PS. Both variants deliver 18.1 Nm of torque.
The Apache RTR 200 will also be offered with dual-channel ABS and Pirelli tyres as an option. The standard variant offers front and rear discs (front: 270 mm and rear:240 mm) and TVS Remora rubber. The tyres are of size 90/90-17 and 130/70-17 at the front and rear respectively.
On the performance front, the Apache RTR 200 FI accelerates from 0-60 km/h in 3.9 seconds and achieves a top-speed of 129 km/h. The carbureted model takes 3.95 seconds for the same sprint and hits 127 km/h. Both variants take 12 seconds to do 0-100 km/h.

The Apache RTR 200 4V carbureted model with TVS tyres and without ABS is priced at INR 88,990, ex-Showroom, New Delhi. The top-end variant (Apache RTR 200 4V FI with dual-channel ABS and Pirelli tyres) is expected to cost under INR 1.15 lakhs, ex-Showroom, TVS said at the event.
