We have presented you with the rendering of Toyota's C Segment sedan that is touted to be upmarket to the Etios, that will be pitched as a competitor to the Hyundai Verna, VW Vento and Honda City.

The Japanese giant has announced the construction of a new engine plant in Sao Paulo, Brazil to cater the propulsion needs of the Etios and the bigger new sedan. According to our good friends at Car and Driver, Brazil, the new C Segment sedan will be ready for production by 2014.
The car will employ the same powerplants and underpinnings as the Etios but will be looking modern and have better quality interiors. Toyota believes that investing in emerging markets is the way to go for the future survival since developed markets show signs of slow downs and crises.
The Dear Qin concepts that were showcased at the Beijing Motor Show in April will form the basis of the design direction for the new sedan. The speculative dimensions of the car are, 4.3 metre in length, 1.48 metre in height and 1.73 metre in width, which makes it longer, wider and shorter than the Toyota Etios while the wheelbase remains the same at 2.55 metre.
There are also plans for a hatchback version of this car which will be positioned above the Etios Liva. The sedan will sit between the Etios and the Corolla.
The duo will be aesthetically appealing which is something that the Etios twins lack and the looks factor will help the cars in markets like Brazil and India.
