This is no April fool's joke. The Germans have found a connection between democratising innovation and their design processes. 'The Polo Principle' ad campaign allows people to create their own mockup of the Polo in Denmark.
The 40 most creative designs of the Polo sent to Volkswagen will be 3D printed and displayed at the Copenhagen exhibition.
The entrants will receive these scaled down Polos in their mailbox after the event.
However one winner will get his fantasy edition translated into a real-world, drivable Polo for a period of two months.
