Tata Motors has announced that it has received over 1 lakh orders for the Tata Tiago since the launch of the A-segment hatchback in April 2016.
The Tata Tiago was the first car to incorporate the company's new IMPACT design language, and there are over 65,000 units of it plying the roads.
The Tiago is available in XB, XE, XM, XT and XZ/XZA grades, and the company says that the top-end variant is the most popular among first-time car buyers. 14-inch alloy wheels, dual-tone interior scheme, body coloured air vents, ConnectNext infotainment system with the first-in-segment smartphone enabled turn-by-turn navigation app, four speakers and four tweeters for the audio system, ABS with EBD and CSC and dual-front airbags are among the key features of the car.
The Tata Tiago measures 3,746 mm in length, 1,647 mm in width and 1,535 mm in height, has a wheelbase of 2,400 mm and offers a ground clearance of 165 mm (13-inch wheels)/170 mm (14-inch wheels).
It is offered with the 1.2-litre Revotron petrol and 1.05-litre Revotorq diesel three-cylinder engines. The former produces 85 PS and 114 Nm of torque and is paired to a 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed automated manual transmission. The company has said that the AMT option has received an "overwhelming response". The latter develops 70 PS and 140 Nm of torque and is linked to a 5-speed manual transmission. The fuel economy of the Tiago is rated at 23.84 km/l (petrol)/27.28 km/l (diesel).

The Tata Tiago is priced starting at INR 3.30 lakh (ex-showroom New Delhi) for the petrol model and at INR 4.06 lakh (ex-showroom New Delhi) for the diesel model.
