Both models gaining popularity in the A-segment.
In March, Tata Motors added an AMT option in the Tata Tiago range and launched the Tata Tigor in India. Both Tata Tigor and Tata Tiago AMT are in demand, as per a new report from Autocar India.
Tata Motors aimed to break the norm with the Tata Tigor's unique styling in the sub-4 metre sedan market, and it apparently has done so. The Tigor XZ and Tigor XZ(O) have a waiting period of four to five weeks, while the Tigor XE takes around 20 days to reach its customer.
The 'Styleback' sedan is offered with 85 PS 1.2-litre Revotron three-cylinder petrol and 70 PS 1.05-litre Revotorq three-cylinder diesel engines in XE, XT, XZ and XZ(O) grades.
Smoked projector headlamps, 15-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, LED tail lamps, reverse parking camera, automatic climate control, smartphone-based navigation and audio system with four speakers and four tweeters are some of the key features of the Tata Tigor.
The Tata Tiago AMT has also received a good market response. Available only in the top-spec XZA grade, the Tiago AMT's deliveries are taking over a month from the time of booking at some dealerships. The AMT option is exclusive to the 85 PS 1.2-litre Revotron three-cylinder petrol engine model. 14-inch alloy wheels, dual-tone interior scheme, body coloured air vents, smartphone-based navigation and audio system with four speakers and four tweeters are the highlights of the car.
