The Tata Aria will get a new strategy over the course of next week. Tata Motors is reconsidering the business plan for Aria and will discuss it next week to spur sales, Mr. Ankush Arora, Senior Vice President, Passenger Vehicles Unit (Commercial) Tata Motors tells CarWale.
This could simply refer to the Tata Aria automatic transmission variant that the company showcased at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. We have also seen spyshots of this model being tested in India.
Sales of the Tata Aria has been startlingly low, given how good an offering it is, mainly thanks to its exorbitant price tag. Tata Motors issued a massive Rs 2.5 lakh discount for the Aria in March 2013, despite which its sales never touched triple digits in any of the following months.
The report also states that the company is looking to incorporate the electronic power steering system in the Tata Nano Twist on other Tata models. The Nano Twist's power steering was developed by ZF and uses a brushless motor to reduce steering strain.
