PT Suzuki Indomobil Motor has unveiled the Suzuki Ertiga Sport concept and the Suzuki Ignis Sport Concept at the GIIAS 2018 in Indonesia today.
Suzuki Ignis Sport Concept
Based on the entry-level GL variant, the Ignis Sport concept sees a contrasting red tone for the skid plate, side skirts and side stripes, whereas elsewhere the car sports a black shade. There are no changes to the mechanicals and power continues to come from a 1.2-litre K-Series petrol engine paired to 5-speed manual or automated manual transmissions.
Based on feedback, the Ignis Sport concept could materialize into a variant derivative. Already, Suzuki sells the regular Ignis and the Ignis Sport in the Indonesian market. The latter gets a rugged side skirt, a rear skid plate, a rear spoiler and a black bumper with silver skid plate.
Suzuki Ertiga Sport Concept
The 2018 Suzuki Ertiga is given smoked headlights, an all-new grille, new bumpers with aggressively designed air intakes and lip spoiler, a contrast black roof, side skirts, larger alloy wheels, a rear spoiler and rear skid plate.
There are no reported mechanical changes, and the MPV uses a 1.5-liter K15B VVT petrol engine. Suzuki could use ideas from this concept in launching a variant derivative on the Ertiga, if the feedback is good. With the previous Ertiga, a sportier Ertiga Dreza was sold in Indonesia and Thailand, and something similar could spawn with the current generation.
