The Gixxer SF 250 and the Gixxer 250 are priced at INR 1,70,655* and INR 1,59,800* respectively. In August, a special, MotoGP edition of Gixxer SF 250 was launched at INR 1,71,456*. As reported in August this year, the Gixxer SF 250 is already privately imported in Japan.

The Gixxer SF 250 and the Gixxer 250 share their underpinnings and engine, although they are distinguished by their styling and ergonomics. The Gixxer SF 250 is a fully faired motorcycle, while the Gixxer 250 is a roadster. Thus, the Gixxer SF 250 comes with better aerodynamics and sportier ergonomics while the Gixxer 250 features a city-ride friendly upright riding position. The lack of fairing helps the Gixxer 250 (156 kg kerb) tip the weighing scale below the Gixxer SF 250 (161 kg kerb).

Mechanical specifications on both motorcycles include a 249 cc single-cylinder, fuel-injected, SOHC engine with Suzuki Oil Cooling System (SOCS). The single-cylinder mill pumps out 26.5 PS of maximum power at 9,000 rpm and a peak torque of 22.6 Nm at 7,500 rpm. The motor is linked to a six-speed transmission.

Key features on both quarter-litre Suzuki products include LED headlight and tail lamp, digital instrument console, twin-pod muffler and a brushed finish alloy wheels.

Suzuki will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2020. The company confirmed that it will introduce its initiatives in the development of products and technologies for opening up a “big future” toward the next 100 years.
