GM India has successfully introduced the Chevrolet Sail brand and is now gearing up for the launch of the Enjoy MPV.
The seven seater MPV, a rebadged Wuling Hongguang from China, is slated to be the third product of the GM-SAIC stable to be launched in India, the other two being the Sail twins. The series production of the MPV has already begun implying that the car is a step closer to its launch.
Meanwhile, our friends at Turbos & Pistonz have managed to click the base and high end variants of the MPV from an unknown location. As far as the exterior goes, the base variant of the Chevrolet Enjoy dons black plastic bumpers and black door handles while the high end variant gets body colored parts and alloy wheels.
The Enjoy is powered by the same 78PS 1.3-litre Fiat diesel engine that powers the Sail duo. The MPV would be pitted against the fast moving Maruti Ertiga. Being a spacious seven seater, the Enjoy would also have an eye on cars like Mahindra Xylo and Nissan Evalia.
GM India's Vice President of Corporate affairs, Mr. P. Balendran told Indian Autos Blog that the Enjoy would be launched around April and that GM is very upbeat about it.
