The all new Chevrolet Beat which made waves in the 2007's New York motor show is all set to replace the aged Daewoo Matiz, now called as Chevrolet spark. The spy pictures were taken in China when it was caught testing. Chevrolet Beat, is expected to arrive in Asia and Europe sometime around 2010.
Unlike the car shown in the 2007 New York Auto show, this vehicle is a five door instead of a three door. The overall length of the car will be around 141 inches and the wheelbase would be 93.5 inches. Beat will be offered with a choice of 1.0 litre and 1.2 litre four cylinder engines synchronized with a 5 speed manual and 4 speed automatic transmission.
Chevrolet Beat very antithesis of the current Matiz. It will be sold around the globe in over 100 countries, so its visual appeal is crucial if Chevrolet is to succeed as GM’s entry-level marque.
