The Royal Enfield Classic 350 range in India gained Redditch colours in January 2017.
Royal Enfield has launched the 2017 Royal Enfield Classic 500 Redditch Edition in the United Kingdom. The motorcycle is based on the standard Royal Enfield Classic 500. The company has however not confirmed an Indian launch.
The post-World War styled bike is powered by the existing 499 cc single cylinder mill which is coupled to a 5-speed gearbox. The air-cooled, fuel injected mill is capable of producing 27.2 bhp of maximum power at 5,250 rpm and 41.3 Nm of peak torque at 4,000 rpm. The Royal Enfield Classic 500 Redditch tips the scales at 194 kg and has a 135 mm ground clearance.
The series pays tribute to the original Royal Enfield factory in Redditch, UK. The bike bears a unique Redditch monogram on the rear fender of the motorcycle and like the Classic 350 Redditch editions in India are offered in Redditch Red, Redditch Green, and Redditch Blue colours.
The Royal Enfield Classic 500 Redditch gets a 13.5-litre fuel tank. Brakes include a 280 mm disc in the front and a 153 mm drum setup in the rear.
