Royal Enfield Classic Redditch series motorcycle was so far retailed with a 350 cc mill.
Dealers in the United Kingdom have confirmed the arrival of Royal Enfield Classic 500 Redditch Edition. The motorcycle will be available for deliveries in June 2017.
The Royal Enfield’s new Redditch series of motorcycles pays tribute to the town of Redditch where Royal Enfield motorcycles were manufactured till the 60s. The Royal Enfield Classic 500 will be available in the same Redditch Red, Redditch Blue and Redditch Green colours. The motorcycles will be manufactured in India and exported to the UK, but it is not clear if Royal Enfield will retail them in India.
India gets the Royal Enfield Classic 350 Redditch which is the smaller capacity version of the motorcycle. The Royal Enfield Classic 500 Redditch Edition will be powered by the 499 cc single cylinder, air cooled, fuel injected mill coupled to a 5-speed gearbox. The engine is capable of producing 27.2 bhp of maximum power and 41.3 Nm of peak torque.
The Royal Enfield Classic 500 Redditch Edition will also get the Redditch monogram which was used for the first time back in 1939 on the prototype of 125cc ‘Royal Baby’, a two-stroke motorcycle.
The Royal Enfield Classic 500 Redditch Edition has been priced at GBP 4,699.
