Royal Enfield recently opened their second direct subsidiary outside India.
Royal Enfield has reported another cracking performance in India with 58,564 units sold in April 2017. This beats their previous best monthly performance of 58,549 units in March 2017.
RE's total sales (including exports) stood at 60,142 units in April 2017 which is a 25 percent growth in comparison to April 2016's 48,197 motorcycles. Exports stood at 1,578 units last month which is a growth of 36 percent.
Last month Royal Enfield announced the opening of a new exclusive dealership in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The Brazilian portfolio has the Royal Enfield Bullet 500, Royal Enfield Classic 500, and the Royal Enfield Continental GT 535. These will be joined later in the year by the Royal Enfield Himalayan, the company’s first true blue adventure oriented motorcycle.
In the financial year 2016-17 Royal Enfield sold 666,490 units which is 31 percent higher on a year-on-year basis.
