It has been said that this car will be completely finished within three years, this means that the design, concept, testing and so forth will all be done in this time frame.
Maruti Suzuki India have actually confirmed that they use their own Indian engineers for that car. The have already been hiring many new designers, as well as electrical and mechanical engineers for the car so that it will be uniquely Indian.
The company is also planning on hiring about 1,000 engineers by 2010, and they will recruit a range of automotive experts throughout the world as well.
With the design of this model, Suzuki might even mark India as the home-town for their own small cars.
The company is so serious about this that they will partner up with R&D to create a track in Haryana. The company is already in talks with the Government for 500 acres of land near the Manesar plant where all their cars including the Suzuki Alto/Nissan Pixo roll out.
