Will be based on the upgraded version of CMF-A platform.
In an interview with ET Auto, Mr. Sumit Sawhney, Renault India managing director, has confirmed that a slew of new products are in the pipeline, which will target segments new to the company.
He said:
We will be working on segments where we are not present. We will try to bring in a lot of innovation in order to make them the game-changer in the segment and redefine it or create a sub-segment out of it.
The newspaper's sources state that the company has already given codenames for the rumored products, which include a sub-4m sedan (codenamed LBC), a compact SUV (codenamed HBC) and a compact MPV (codenamed RBC). Renault is targeting to push a volume of 1.5 lakh to 2 lakh vehicles a year, including exports.

All three models are rumored to be based on an evolution of the CMF-A platform, dubbed as CMF-A+, which can accommodate bigger bodies and more powerful engines. Several models and variants in the pipeline for the next three years are expected to cost under INR 8 Lakhs, which would help stabilize Renault's market share, if not increase it.
