Renault is showcasing the Duster AWD at the 2014 Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS 2014). The car seen in these images is made at the Renault-Nissan Alliance factory in Chennai, which currently exports the Duster 2WD to Indonesia.
On the outside, the Duster AWD gets the Adventure body kit which sees the addition of an plastic armour with integrated foglights, tinted headlights and a compass like decal in the D-Pillar. On the bootlid, subtle 'AWD' and 'Adventure' badges are seen.
Inside, the controller for the 4WD system, a switch located nearby for the traction control system, a new steering wheel and red inserts for the seats are seen. The AWD system has three modes - 2WD, Auto and Differential Lock.
Power for the Duster AWD comes from the 1.5-liter four-cylinder K9K diesel engine which is capable of producing 110 PS (108.4 bhp) and 25.3 kgm (248.1 Nm) of torque. The transmission is a 6-speed manual unit.
Features seen on the Duster AWD include dual front airbags, ABS, EBD, TCS, alloy wheels and a touchscreen infotainment system.
For the Indian market, Renault today announced the launch of the Duster AWD to take place on September 24.
