The Proton P2-30A, which would be called either as the Proton Iriz or Proton Aero, has been spied once again in Malaysia and this time the interior has been revealed partially.
The first global model by Proton features a chunky four-spoke multifunction steering wheel. The silver finished centre console houses vertical air conditioning vents and a large multimedia infotainment system. The AC controls are highlighted by chrome.
The Proton Compact Car (PCC) reportedly costs RM 300 million (INR 570 crores) to develop. Powertrain options are expected to include a 1.3-litre and a 1.6-litre VVT petrol engine, available with manual and automatic transmissions.
With the Euro-NCAP crash test in mind, the VW Up! rival is equipped with an array of safety features like 6 airbags, ABS, EBD, ESC, TCS, BA and HHC.
Visually, the compact car adopts a conventional styling with HID headlamps and LED daytime running lights.
