Macan GTS slots between S and Turbo; Carrera 4S gets turbocharging.
Porsche has taken the wraps off the Porsche Macan GTS and the 2015 Porsche Carrera 4S (facelift) at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show today.
The Macan GTS slots between the Porsche Macan S and Macan Turbo. It features black exterior accents, 20-inch ‘RS Spyder’ style alloy wheels in Satin Black, Porsche’s LED headlights with four-point LED DRLs as an optional extra.
Inside, the GTS gets standard leather sport seats, upgraded audio infotainment system, and an optional GTS Package with Carmine Red tachometer, contrast stitching, seat belts, and embroidered GTS logos on the headrests.
Under the hood is a tuned version of the 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 from the Macan S, which produces 360 PS at 6,000 rpm and 500 Nm of torque between 1,650-4,000 rpm - an increase of 20 hp and 40 Nm. It is paired to a 7-speed PDK gearbox as standard, and is capable of hitting 0-100 km/h in 5.2 seconds.
Porsche also unveiled the facelifted Carrera 4S, which is an AWD version of the Carrera S unveiled at the 2015 IAA in Frankfurt. It's powered by a 3.0-liter, twin-turbocharged flat-6 that produces 370 hp. Transmission options include a 7-speed manual as standard and Porsche’s PDK dual-clutch transmission as optional.
