The automakers understand how social media like Facebook and Twitter play an instrumental role in shaping a brand's image.
The Porsche 911 Carrera 4S 5 Million Car is a special edition which is built to celebrate 5 million fans for the German sportscar maker's official Facebook page.
The Facebook fans were asked to customize the car's exterior, interior, rims, etc. The car is aptly painted in a blue color which matches the default color theme of Facebook! A decal strip with the "5M Porsche Fans" is seen along the door. The 20" multispoke white alloy wheels add contrast and the Porsche Aerokit Cup makes the car look aggressive.
The interiors have a grey and black leather trim and the door sills have a 911 Carrera 4S branding which is illuminated in blue.
The 5 Million Car is powered by a 3.8 litre flat six petrol engine that belts out 400PS and 440Nm of torque. A seven-speed PDK (Porsche Double Clutch) automatic transmission sends power to all four wheels.
Porsche is running a contest on its Facebook page and a lucky fan and his/her friend will get to drive the Porsche 911 Carrera 4S 5 Million Car at the Porsche Experience Center in Silverstone, UK, next month.
