Kolkata is the fifth city to host the off-roading event. The XTracks experience was previously organized in Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai and Delhi/NCR. The company will take the event to Pune and Kochi in the coming weeks.
Hero MotoCorp used the standard XPulse 200 for the off-road experience. Regular followers would know that the two-wheeler brand introduced a Rally Kit for the motorcycle at this year’s EICMA show in Milan, Italy. The kit, which is yet to arrive at dealerships, is not homologated for road use. The Rally Kit brings better ground clearance, longer suspension travel, adjustable front forks, handlebar risers, flatter seat and an aftermarket exhaust system to the XPulse 200.
Engine specifications on the stock Hero XPulse 200 include two variants of 199.6 cc air-cooled, 2-Valve, single-cylinder, SOHC motor – Carburetor and Fuel Injection. The single-cylinder mill produces a maximum power of 18.4 PS at 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 17.1 Nm at 6,500 rpm.
The standard Hero XPulse 200 uses a High Tensile Steel Frame, aluminium skid plate, 220 mm ground clearance, 21-inch front wheel and 18-inch rear wheel with dual-purpose tyres, 10-step adjustable mono-shock Gas Charged rear suspension (170 mm Wheel Travel), telescopic front suspension (190 mm Stroke) and upswept exhaust design.
Key features that are standard on the XPulse 200 include first-in-class Turn-by-Turn Navigation system, LCD instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity and a gear indicator. The motorcycle boasts full LED headlamp and taillight, windscreen, under-seat USB charger and luggage plate with bungee hooks. Anchoring department comprises disc brakes on both wheels and a single-channel ABS.
