Thrustzone reports that a new variant of the Bajaj Dominar 400 will hit the market in about 3-4 months. Sources in the know of the development have revealed that Bajaj is working on two variants of the Dominar.
Out of the two new variants, one would be a ‘Classic version’, and another a Scrambler variant. The website reports that the brand is currently finalizing the decision between bringing out one of the two, and is likely to launch the Scrambler version. The upcoming variant may have knobby tires, redesigned fenders, and better ground clearance.

The bike is likely to use the same 373.3 cc single cylinder mill with liquid cooling and fuel injection. It could retain the same output, at 35 PS of power and 35 Nm of torque. However, it is likely that the sprockets and the gearing could witness a change to better match the character of the motorcycle.
The bike will reportedly command a premium of INR 4,000- 6,000 over the standard Dominar. At present, the 2018 Bajaj Dominar 400 costs INR 1,44,113 for the non-ABS variant and INR 1,58,275 for the ABS model. If Bajaj launches the scrambler version, it could be the most affordable liquid-cooled Scrambler in the Indian market. The new variant will reportedly hit the showrooms before July, this year.
