Suzuki Motorcycle India has launched the special edition Intruder SP for the festive season customer. The SP features metallic matte black paint with a red accent that runs from the fuel tank all the way to the rear panel, giving the motorcycle a unique look. Apart from the new paint, it gets a pillion backrest as standard featuring the Intruder branding.

The Suzuki Intruder SP is available in both, carburettor and fuel injected variants. The carburettor equipped variant is priced at INR 1,00,500 while the fuel injected version is available at INR 1,07,300 – both prices are ex-showroom.
Speaking about the new Suzuki Intruder SP, Satoshi Uchida, Managing Director, Suzuki Motorcycle India said, “We are happy to introduce the Special Edition ahead of the festive season which will lure cruiser customers. With its head-turning design, luxurious appeal and sporty looks, the Suzuki Intruder and Intruder Fi variants are an apt fit for people who want to stand out from the crowd.”
The changes to the Intruder are limited to visuals, and the SP badged version continues to use the 154.9 cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, SOHC engine that is tuned to deliver 14.8 PS of maximum power at 8,000 rpm and 14 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm on both, carburettor and fuel injected variants. The engine is paired to a 5-speed gearbox.
Rest of the hardware, too, remains identical to the standard Intruder. Thus, you would spot the conventional telescopic suspension at the front and a monoshock unit at the rear. Disc brakes on both ends provide stopping power while ABS enhances the safety net.
In August 2018, Suzuki Motorcycle India recorded its highest ever monthly sales figures.
