A driver-side airbag will be seen for the first time on the K10.
Indian Autos Blog learns through dealer-level sources that the new Maruti Alto K10 will be offered in a total of six variants - LX, LXi, LXi (CNG), VXi, VXi (AGS) and VXi (O). Here is a brief of the features that will be seen in these trim levels.
The LX variant is the barebones model and only gets an AC and heater. Power steering is a feature that is seen from the LXi trim, as are child-locks for the rear doors, internally adjustable wing mirrors and a tailgate release.
The VXi trim is decently specced as it gets an integrated 2-DIN music system with CD/MP3/Radio/USB/AUX-in and 2 speakers. Convenience features like front power windows, central locking, warning for headlights on, a digital clock, a rear parcel tray, tachometer and wheel covers are offered on this trim as well.
The range topping VXi (O) gets keyless entry, foglights and most importantly, a driver-side airbag, a first on the K10. According to dealers, the automated manual transmission (AGS or Auto Gear Shift System according to Maruti) will come on the VXi trim, while CNG will be offered with the LXi trim.
