Here is a pictorial comparison of the new Mahindra Scorpio with the current generation model. Better images will be presented as soon as Mahindra releases updated press shots.
While the current Scorpio is in itself a facelifted model, the overall shape of its front fascia had much in common with the very first Scorpio which was launched in 2002. With the new model however, designers have redone the headlights and grille of the SUV to give it a more brawny look.
Rectangular headlight clusters with integrated LED daytime running lights and projector beams, combined with a redesigned black grille give the SUV a new identity. The bumper sports minor changes to the registration plate housing and foglight enclosures.
At the rear, design changes are limited. The upper extensions of the taillights are replaced with grab handles for easier ingress, while the taillights themselves get LED elements. The rear windscreen gets a minor redesign and the bootlid features a black applique with a silver enclosure for the registration plate. The rear bumper continues unchanged.
