In a first, e-commerce website, SnapDeal.com has started accepting bookings for the new Mahindra Scorpio. The booking amount of INR 20,000 is refundable without any questions asked, says the website.
The website also says that delivery of the new Scorpio will tentatively take between 4-6 weeks. Mahindra is reported to have started production of the new Scorpio as early as last month at their Nashik plant in Maharashtra. The company is believed to have built up a heavy inventory to minimize waiting periods.
The new Scorpio will come in five colors, the image below representing their shades and names. The SUV will be available in a total of six variants called S2, S4, S6, S6+, S8 and S10. The S6+ gets a driver airbag and ABS as standard fitment.

Since its launch in 2002, this is the second major update for Mahindra's homegrown SUV. The engines - a 2.5-liter diesel and a modern 2.2-liter diesel - will soldier on without engineering changes.
