Gets a new 6-speed manual transmission.
Honda has announced the new Honda Jazz for the European market, with a debut expected to take place at the Geneva Motor Show next week. Sales will commence in the summer of 2015, the carmaker said in a statement today.
Showcased at the Paris Motor Show last year in a pre-production form, the Jazz for Europe gets a chrome grille, as compared to a black grille seen on the Japanese/American specification model.
At the time of the launch, Honda will offer the hatchback with a 1.3-liter four-cylinder i-VTEC petrol engine capable of 102 PS. The engine is paired to a new 6-speed manual transmission (the previous Jazz came with a 5-speed manual), or an optional CVT gearbox. Later in the year, reports state that the Jazz Hybrid with a 1.5-liter petrol engine with an electric motor will be launched.
The Jazz for the European market would be manufactured at Honda's plant in Swindon, U.K.

Meanwhile, Honda Cars India plans on launching the new Jazz in the first half of this year. The carmaker has reportedly started production of the hatchback, though these units are exported to South Africa.
