The 2014 Honda Jazz Prototype for Europe has been revealed at the 2014 Paris Motor Show today. Sales of the hatchback will start in Europe in the summer of 2015 according to the company.
For the European market, the Jazz is announced to get the 1.3-liter i-VTEC four-cylinder petrol engine which is mated to a 6-speed manual or a CVT gearbox. Honda will disclose the engine output figures closer to the launch.
On the design front, the European Jazz gets a chrome grille and sharply cut 7-spoke alloy wheels compared to Jazzs/Fits sold elsewhere in the world. Compared to its predecessor, Honda say the new Jazz is 15 mm longer in overall length and 30 mm longer in wheelbase creating a more spacious cabin.
Other highlights of the car include a new suspension system which is claimed to deliver a more comfortable ride, a centrally mounted fuel tank, and the versatile Magic Seats which can be folded or flipped to create room for additional storage needs.
The new Jazz for India is expected to launch in March 2015, and will come with a petrol and a diesel engine.
