Ahead of its official Indian debut on 5th December 2019, the MG ZS EV has been listed on the local website. The pre-bookings of the all-electric ZS will commence later in December, and the launch will take place in the first month of 2020.
MG Motor India has even previously teased the ZS EV on social media handles, indirectly promoting the usage of EVs during the 'Odd-Even' rule in National Capital Region, with the use of caption "EVen against the odds".
The ZS EV has also been spied amid road tests a number of times in the past. It is going to be imported to India in CKD kits, the assembly of which will take place at MG Motor India's Halol plant in Gujarat. It is said that MG will provide the ZS EV to select customers even before the vehicle is launched in the market.

There is a CATL-made 44.5 kWh battery pack which supports the motor. The MG ZS EV offers a claimed range of 335 km (NEDC).
The MG ZS EV measures 4,314 mm in length, 1,809 mm in width and 1,620 mm/1,644 mm in height. Its wheelbase spans a length of 2,585 mm and its ground clearance is 161 mm.
