Mercedes-Benz India has announced the launch of the Mercedes-AMG C 63 in Delhi today, which is available in the C63 S variant only. It is priced from INR 1.34 crores (ex-showroom New Delhi).
The Mercedes-AMG C63 made its global debut unveiled at the 2014 Paris Motor Show and packs AMG's all new 4.0-litre V8 twin-turbo engine that produces 510 hp and 700 Nm, and is paired to an AMG SPEEDSHIFT 7-speed dual clutch gearbox. This enables the AMG C 63 S t0 sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 4 seconds, before it reaches an electronically limited max speed of 250 km/h.
Further enhancements to its performance and handling characteristic include the electronic rear locking differential, AMG GT-derived dynamic engine mounts and bigger 19-inch wheels.
The exterior of the Mercedes-AMG C 63 S features an aggressive body kit that comprise of sportier bumpers, aerodynamic side skirts and a rear diffuser with a quad-pipe sports exhaust system. A power-dome hood, AMG-branded grille and 19-inch lightweight alloy wheels compliment the brute performance under hood.
As for the interior, the Mercedes-AMG C63 S comes with exclusive sport seats, stainless steel pedals, a flat-bottomed AMG steering wheel, AMG-specific instrument cluster, illuminated door sill plates and AMG-branded floor mats.
The C 63 S will be sold as CBU product, unlike the much-less-powerful Mercedes C Class sedan, and its main competitor would be the BMW M3, which is priced from INR 1.2 crores (ex-showroom pan-India).
