Available in two power states.
The 2015 Mercedes C63 AMG gets its world debut at the 2014 Paris Motor Show. Based on the new generation C Class, the C63 is fettled by Mercedes' in-house performance division, and is the latest iteration of the best selling AMG model till date.
Available in sedan and estate bodystyles, Mercedes will offer two engine variants on both cars - C63 AMG and C63 AMG S. Both variants are powered by the new 4.0-liter V8 Bi-Turbo engine, which also does duty on the new AMG GT sportscar.
On the standard C63, this engine produces 476 PS and 650 Nm of torque, and on the S variant it makes 510 PS and 700 Nm of torque. A 7-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT is in charge of transmission duties, and propels the regular C63 AMG from 0-100 km/h in 4.1 seconds, and the C63 AMG S in 4 seconds. Both variants have an electronically limited top-speed of 250 km/h though.
The 18-inch ten-spoke alloy wheels on the regular car and 19-inchers on the S, optional ceramic composite brakes, sports tires and a performance exhaust system are some ways of sprucing up these cars even further.
