Being under 4m with a 1.3L diesel motor, it only receives a small reduction in tax rate.

Being under 4m with a 1.3L diesel motor, the Vitara Brezza only receives a small reduction in the tax rate as compared to the pre-GST rate. It still remains one of the least expensive compact monocoque SUVs in the market, and the small price reduction will have very little impact to the overwhelming demand it continues to receive.
Under the hood is a 1.3L DDiS 200 motor paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox, which produces 90 PS and 200 Nm of peak torque. It is capable of averaging a fuel economy of 24.3 km/L. Also in the works are the petrol and the diesel automatic variants, which could be introduced once market demand begins to subside.
