Waiting period has increased to 4-5 months.
Speaking to ET Auto, RC Bhargava, Chairman of Maruti Suzuki India, has stated that the pre-orders for the Maruti Vitara Brezza now stand at 37,000 units. The demand has increased the waiting period to 4 months.
At the moment, Mr Bhargava hasn't divulged plans to reduce the waiting period, as the company did not anticipate such a response for the Vitara Brezza. The production rate of the Maruti Vitara Brezza is about 8,000 units/month and it could go a little bit over that number later on.
Prices for the Maruti Vitara Brezza start from INR 6.99 Lakhs to INR 9.68 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). It is the company’s first-ever sub-4m SUV that competes against Ford EcoSport and Mahindra TUV300. A compact, competitively priced SUV with a Maruti badge is certain to draw attention.
