Maruti Suzuki has announced that it has expanded its new True Value network to 200 outlets nationwide. The pre-owned sales network is now spread across 132 cities in the country.
Maruti Suzuki had launched True Value back in 2001 and announced a revamp program called ‘True Value 2.0’ for this sales network in August 2017. As part of the transformation, it planned to have up to 150 new True Value outlets in India by March 2018.
Commenting on the occasion, Mr. RS Kalsi, Senior Executive Director, Marketing and Sales, Maruti Suzuki India. said
The pre-owned car market is rapidly growing, and customers are putting their trust in organized players for their needs. With the upgrade of Maruti Suzuki True Value showrooms, customers can avail a better experience, better products and a hassle-free journey of car buying.
True Value certified vehicles are driven not for more than 1 lakh km and are less than 7 years old. These vehicles must not have been owned by more than two owners, used for commercial purposes, faced an accident or retrofitted with CNG or LPG kit. They are evaluated with the help of an app on 376 checkpoints and refurbishment needs are then identified. The various aspects assessed include engine, suspension, brakes, electrical fittings and equipment, transmission and steering control.

Maruti Suzuki plans to have 400 used car dealerships in the country by the end of the decade. The company sells True Value certified vehicles with up to 1-year warranty and 3 free services.
