To be available with 1.4-litre petrol and 1.3-litre diesel engines.
The Maruti Ciaz sedan is inching closer to its launch and the automaker has released the first print ad confirming this. The C-Segment sedan was already teased with a cat behind the steering last week.
The print ad teases the vehicle's rear and reveals Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh as the brand ambassador. The Honda City rival was recently spied during a TVC shoot with the actor.
To recap, the Maruti Ciaz was previewed in the form of a concept at the Auto Expo and spied several times ever since. The SX4 replacement is larger and more upmarket. The sedan will be available with petrol and diesel engine options in three variants each.
The top-of-the-line models will come packed with ABS, airbags, rear AC vents, automatic climate control, electrically adjustable ORVMs, driver armrest, multifunction steering wheel, music system and rear parking sensors.
The Maruti Ciaz will inherit the 1.3-litre diesel engine from the SX4 which produces 90 PS (88.7 bhp) while the 95 PS (93.6 bhp) 1.4-litre K-Series petrol engine would be borrowed from the Ertiga. Both engines will be available with a standard manual transmission and the petrol could get an optional AT.
