Trims include VDi, ZDi and ZDi+.
Maruti-Suzuki will replace the regular Ciaz diesel range with the Maruti Ciaz SHVS (Smart Hybrid Vehicle) in the coming days. It will be available in three trim levels: VDi, ZDi and ZDi+.
The exterior and interior of the Ciaz SHVS look identical to the outgoing model. Higher trim levels will feature equipment like projector headlamps, keyless entry with Start/Stop, SmartPlay touchscreen system with Bluetooth, CD, USB and AUX-in, automatic climate control, power adjustable and folding wing mirrors, steering mounted audio controls, rear sunshade, auto dimming rear view mirror, and leather upholstery
The only difference attributed to Maruti Ciaz SHVS is seen under the hood, where it features a brake energy recuperation system with an Integrated Starter Generator, which converts the kinetic energy of the rolling wheels into current for charging up the battery. It also gets a start-stop system to boost mileage when the vehicle is stationary.

The fuel saving upgrades are expected to boost the fuel consumption, with reports suggesting that it could cross the 30 km/L mark.
Bookings for the Maruti Ciaz SHVS are now being accepted at a minimum amount of INR 11,000, and deliveries will begin from the end of August. Maruti is also trying push out existing stock of the regular Ciaz diesel by offering discounts of upto INR 40,000.
