While discussing about the export markets, he divulged, "yes, Japan is one of the markets".
Maruti Suzuki exports cars to 125 countries, which includes markets in Asia, Europe, Africa, and South America. The Manesar plant of Maruti Suzuki has started the production of the premium hatchback, and is the only facility that produces the Hyundai i20 competitor currently.
The Baleno is slated for launch in India on October 26. While the Indian version will be powered by the 1.2-litre K-Series petrol and the 1.3-litre Fiat-sourced DDiS diesel engine, the export variants, including the European model, will be powered by the all-new 1.0-litre Boosterjet turbocharged petrol engine.
