Second monocoque product for Mahindra.

Mahindra may use the 'XUV' prefix for its monocoque products, the report suggests.

The S101 though will rely on a brand-new monocoque platform with a front-wheel drive layout, and if reports are to be believed, it will be branded the Mahindra XUV100. A website by the name '' has already been registered to Mahindra's office in Mahindra Towers, Worli, Mumbai, further suggesting that this is indeed the name of the product.

Power for the XUV100 is reported to come from three-cylinder petrol and diesel engines, the former being an all-new 1.2-liter unit. Like the TUV300, the XUV100 could also get manual and automated manual transmissions, with a 2WD layout only.
